Diet Patches Don"t Work

You may have seen the commercials on TV or came across the full page advertisement while reading a magazine making miracle claims to weight loss while wearing a diet patch.
Simply wear the patch and natural fat fighting supplements are absorbed through the skin and go to work melting the pounds away.
No exercise required.
No change in diet needed.
Truth be told there is no miracle diet.
Diet patches aren't any more effective than over the counter pill form weight loss supplements and certainly cannot replace the need for a healthy diet and moderate exercise.
Most diet patches contain herbal supplements such as guarana a caffeine like stimulant and HCA a supplement that is said to produce an enzyme that blocks carbohydrates from being stored as fat.
Many of them contain other ingredients as well such as sea kelp for iodine and Chromium to regulate blood sugar levels along some form of Omega 3 fatty acid.
While several of the active ingredients are essential to a balanced diet none of them on their own has been conclusively proven to promote weight loss or metabolic changes.
In fact sea kelp contains high levels of iodine.
Iodine and Chromium can build up to toxic levels in the body which may pose serious health risks in large doses.
Marketing companies would like you to believe that trans-dermal absorption is more effective in weight loss than ingestion because the ingredients are delivered through the skin directly into the blood stream, by bypassing the kidneys and liver which filters out large doses of the substances as waste as a part of our normal digestive process.
While this may be true there are no hard facts indicating the levels required for the body to see effective clear weight loss or any evidence to suggest that any of the active ingredients on their own or in combination are effective in this matter.
Simply put you cannot lose weight by doing nothing.
A healthy sensible diet and a regular exercise routine approved by your physician is truly the best solution for effective and permanent weight loss.
Diet patches simply don't work and are not worth spending any amount of money on.
