How to Make a Cucumber Vitamin Facial Mask
- 1). Measure 1/2 cup of green clay powder into a small mixing bowl. Add 1/4 cup of aloe vera juice and stir to create a thick paste. Remember that aloe vera juice is very different from aloe vera gel. If you choose to use gel, use 1/8 of a cup of gel mixed with 1/8 of a cup of distilled water; however, juice is a far better option for this facial.
- 2). Stir 3 tsp. of cucumber hydrosol, 1 tsp. of vegetable glycerin, 1 tsp. of vitamin E oil, 1/2 tsp. of ascorbyl palmitate, (also known as vitamin C esters,) and 1/2 tsp. of niacinamide, or vitamin B3 into the clay paste.
- 3). Mix the ingredients thoroughly to create a thick, even paste. Wash your face with a mild facial cleanser and lukewarm water and pat your skin dry. Apply the facial mask evenly to your face and neck and leave until completely dry.
- 4). Rinse your mask with lukewarm water and then apply a light oil-free facial moisturizer. If you have mask left over, it will keep in the coldest part of your refrigerator for about 1 week.
