How to Print Iron on Transfers With an HP cp1700 Series Printer

    • 1). Press and release the power button located on the far right hand side of the LCD panel to turn the printer on. Lift the output tray. Grasp tray 1, located in the lower front of the unit, and pull it out of the printer. Remove all current print media from the tray.

    • 2). Pinch the paper width guide and slide it out to its widest position. Pinch the paper length guide and slide it back to its outermost position. Place up to 10 sheets of iron-on transfer paper into the tray with the print side down.

    • 3). Slide the paper length guide forward until it is snug against the iron-on transfers. Slide the paper width guide in until it is snug against the stack of print media. Place the tray back into its slot and push it into the printer until it is fully engaged. Lower the output tray.

    • 4). Single left mouse click the "File" menu to open the drop down box. Single left click the "Print" option to open the printer dialog box. Single left click on the "Properties" option. Single left click on the "Best Quality" option.

    • 5). Single left click the "Paper Type" menu to open the drop down box. Select the "Transparency" option. This feature is used to print the mirror image of your page onto the "Transfer." Single left click the "Paper Size" menu. Determine the size that corresponds to the size for the "Transfer" you will be printing on. Single left click on the appropriate size. Single left click the "OK" button to send the print job to the printer.
