• Popularity of brand is not the guarantee of good performance. The performance depends upon various factors related with compatibility, software, system and method. Taiyo Yuden, Mitsubishi, Sony, TDK, Maxell, Memorex, Ritek and Ricoh etc are well known brands while Pioneer and MBI ere lesser known brands.

High speed discs are costly than low speed discs, so don't pay extra here too. Good media have 95%-99% success rate while cheaper media have 0%-40% success rate. Good quality discs ensure more shelf life and more repeated burns (if it is RW type).


• Sometime we get the error because of the fault in the system, method or software and blame comes to the brand. To avoid such condition, check disc balance, surface, burning speed, player compatibility, burning software and paying software etc.

DVDs evolve faster that CDs. DVDs have more storage capacity and shelf life in comparison to CDs. Don't just look for the lowest price, think about the source, brand, DVDR specifications and warranty too.
