Testimonials of happy customers are shown proclaiming how a company's new miracle crash diet plan helped them lose weight.
They seem easy.
But how effective are these types of diets? You need to be aware that many of these companies do not have scientific studies backing up their claims.
They merely try to take advantage of the desire for a quick fix.
Also be sure to consult with a physician or nutritionist before making a big diet change for an extended period of time.
There could be health risks.
Your body needs food to survive.
If you are eating a heavily restricted diet, the chances are good that you will not be getting the proper nutrients to eat.
Also be aware that for short term diets that last a few days, a lot of the weight that is lost is merely water weight.
As soon as you start eating and drinking normally again you will put back on the pounds.
One big benefit that is not mentioned is that many of these diets are much easier to pull off.
Traditional diets rely on a proper diet and regular exercise.
For many busy people this is very difficult to do.
However, crash diets are far easier to finish because they only last a few days.
This way you can focus and take advantage of momentum.
