Ripped Abs: Training Mistakes
Training to develop lean ripped abs should not be unnecessarily complicated, but it is truly amazing how many guys are out there at the gym pounding away, lifting huge weights, doing countless crunches and sweating buckets without managing to add even an ounce of definition to their abs.
A lot of these guys will train throughout the year and look exactly the same, the only difference they will see is a significant increase in their levels of frustration while their abs stay hidden.
What are they doing wrong then? Well there could be any number of reasons but lets just look at a few of the more common ones.
Talking Not Doing! For me the most irritating mistake I see is the guys who spend most of their time talking about what they are going to do.
Guys, please stop talking about it and just do it! They spend their time discussing the latest techniques or fad diets and never seem to get around to doing any actual training.
I have spent the best part of twenty years in the industry and not once have I ever seen anyone develop ripped abs by talking about it.
Take some action now! Lack Of Flexibility! Another common mistake is placing too much emphasis on what has worked for someone else.
The fact is that we are all different and what works for one may not necessarily work for another.
If your current training regime is not working for you then change it.
It is vitally important in your quest for lean ripped abs that you are flexible in your training and remain open to new ideas.
Remember, the only thing that matters is reaching your destination, it really does not matter how you get there.
Not Enough Sleep! This is really basic and yet you would be amazed at just how many people make this mistake.
The fact is that when you train at a decent intensity level then you tear the muscle tissue.
That needs to repair itself and can only do so if you get the correct levels of rest and a good nights sleep, at least seven hours a night.
If you are fatigued then you will suffer when you train again and your plan for ripped abs will never come to fruition.
Eating Crap! As important as getting enough sleep is to make sure that you are eating properly.
Make it your business to have a carefully devised diet plan in place and stick to it rigidly.
Make sure you are getting the right levels of proteins, carbohydrates, essential fats and always, and I mean always, stay properly hydrated.
It really is a simple equation, if you want to have a lean muscular physique with well developed ripped abs then cut out the crap.
Eat Crap + Drink Crap = Look Like Crap!! Low Intensity! The bottom line is that ultimately, in whatever you do in life, you will always get out what you put in.
I see far too many guys who believe that they will develop ripped abs simply by taking out a gym membership.
To really see results you need to end your workout feeling as if you just have no more to give.
If you are not lying in a heap praying for the sweet release of death then you just haven't worked hard enough.
I'm joking of course, but it is essential to maintain a really good intensity to your work as in reality you will only be cheating yourself otherwise.
Ripped abs can and will be yours, you just have to want it enough.
