How to Fix the Lining of an Above-Ground Pool
- 1). Size the patch material to the tears or rips in the pool liner. Examine the rips or tears in your liner, noting their size. If repairing a hole or small rip, cut your patch material into a circle considerably bigger than the rip or hole, using scissors. If repairing a long horizontal or vertical tear, cut the patch material into a rectangle much longer and wider than the tear.
- 2). Coat the underside of the patch material with vinyl adhesive, applying a thick layer.
- 3). Apply the prepared patch material to the rip or tear. Press the patch material to the rip or tear and hold it down firmly. Keep the material pressed onto the rip or tear for at least 15 seconds. Slide your hands over the patch to smooth out any wrinkles.
