Kick The Habit - Stick To A Solid Plan…

Wanting to quit smoking needs to be treated like anything else a person wants to get, do or achieve - the steps on the way to the main goal have to defined and made part of an overall plan to ensure that the main goal, ie to completely kick the habit, is finally achieved.

It more often than not helps most smokers to write down their reasons they want to quit and what are all the lesser steps or milestones needed to reach and subsequently out-do to be able to get to that final and most significant goal of all.

It has to be remembered of course that your goals and milestones have to be realistic - challenging and achievable is the way to go.

Don't veer from your intended plan and absolutely do reward yourself for crashing through each milestone, even if it's merely a pat on your own back - you'll deserve it!

There's now a great many ways of going about quitting smoking;

  • Cold Turkey

  • Gradually cutting down

  • Hypnosis

  • Nicotine Patches

These being only a few, but no matter what method you select the most challenging part of any plan is essentially rigidly sticking to it.

Often what'll happen is the person trying to quit smoking will fail because he or she make too many compromising decisions - they find reasons or manufacture excuses for not sticking to their original plan and finally stop trying.

You need to consistently be reminding yourself of your main goal, including when and how you're going to finally get to it - be realistic, don't prevaricate or procrastinate, don't be distracted, don't manufacture stupid excuses for not doing something and you will on the whole, without doubt come out a winner!

As does nicotine, good sweat-inducing physical exercise will release endorphins that can help replace those released by your nicotine addiction meaning exercise is an outstanding addition to whatever method and plan you're going to be using to quit smoking.

So in essence, it's entirely possible to replace your destructive smoking addiction with the simple and health rejuvenating habit of exercise.

The motivation of bettering your health and living longer and then the absolute dedication to your favored and well defined, thoroughly achievable plan will be the driving forces for effectively giving up smoking forever!

In summary; having a clear and concise plan and then sticking to it will be a definite help and even though you're bound to find it a little tough at first, being able to kick the habit is much easier than you think - YOU ONLY HAVE TO WANT TO!

Quitting smoking naturally, speedily, and permanently isn't and has never been about overly complicated systems and/or poisonous pills and patches - it's all about simplicity, a little bit of will-power and some genuine tried and tested tobacco-quitting knowledge.
