- 1). Connect your secondary monitor to the available port on your computer with the monitor cable and power on the display.
- 2). Right-click the computer's desktop and select "Personalize," followed by "Display Settings."
- 3). Select the small blue box labeled "2", and check the box marked "Extend my Windows Desktop onto this screen."
- 4). Press "Apply" to extend your computer screen onto the new monitor, and adjust the resolution with the sliding bar until you're satisfied.
- 5). Drag the blue box marked "2" into an approximate semblance of your secondary monitor's physical position in relation to your primary monitor, and click "Apply."
