How to Reset a Palm Treo Phone
- 1). Check the battery to make sure that battery is not low. If the battery is low, charge the battery.
- 2). Perform a HotSync operation.
- 3). Remove the Treo from the charger or disconnect the Treo from its USB sync cable.
- 4). Press and hold the "Power" key to turn off the wireless mode.
- 5). Remove the battery cover, take out the battery, put the battery back in and put the battery cover back on. A Palm logo screen appears. Follow the on-screen prompts to set the time, date and preferences on the device.
- 1). Perform a HotSync operation on your Treo. Remove the Treo smartphone from its charger and disconnect it from its USB sync cable.
- 2). Remove the battery cover from the battery compartment on the back of the device. Remove the battery. Reinstall the battery while you hold down the "Power" button. The Palm Access Powered logo appears. Release the "Power" button.
- 3). Press up when "Erase all data?" appears on the screen to verify the hard reset.
- 4). Select the same language used by the Palm desktop software if a language selection screen appears. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete setup.
- 5). Tap "Targets" when prompted and set up your device. When these steps are done, your device is ready for use.

- 2). Remove the battery cover from the battery compartment on the back of the device. Remove the battery. Reinstall the battery. The Palm logo appears.
- 3). Press and hold the "Power" button until the progress bar at the bottom of the screen fills and disappears. The screen goes blank for a moment.
- 4). Press up when "Erase all data?" appears on the screen to verify the hard reset. While resetting to the factory default, the screen displays a series of Palm logos.

- 3). Press and hold the "Power" button while reinstalling the battery. The PalmOne or Palm logo and a progress bar appears. Continue to hold down the "Power" button. Release the "Power" button when the gray circular Palm Powered logo appears on the screen.

- 1). Perform a HotSync operation on your Treo. Access the reset tool by unscrewing the stylus tip.
- 2). Press and hold the "Wireless Mode" button.
- 3). Continue to hold the Wireless Mode button while you use the reset tool to press the reset button on the back of the Treo 600.
- 4). Release the "Wireless Mode" button when the Palm Powered logo appears on the screen. A warning also appears on the screen. Press up to confirm the hard reset.
- 5). Select the same language used by the Palm desktop software if a language selection screen appears. Follow the prompts to complete setup.
