How to Sew Binding Corners on a Blanket
- 1). Measure the outer edge of the blanket for the appropriate amount of binding.
- 2). Pin the binding along the first edge, working to the very end. Fold the binding at a 45-degree angle, as you would in wrapping a gift. Pin the corner down. Remove any hidden pins from under the folded edge.
- 3). Repeat the process for all corners. Press all edges down.
- 4). Sew along all edges of blanket. When you get to the first corner, sew down to the point. Backstitch at the end, cut the thread and resume sewing the edge.
- 5). When you get to the remaining points, repeat the process. Clip any loose threads. Remember to backstitch when you resume each edge so as to secure the binding at all points.
- 6). Press down all binding an check to see if both sides have been stitched around the entire blanket.
