- 1). Connect a USB flash drive to your computer. After you plug in the USB device, you will see the "Autoplay" dialog box.
- 2). Go under "General options" and click "Speed Up My System." This will open the "Properties" dialog box.
- 3). Select the "ReadyBoost" tab. Click "Use this Device" or "Dedicate this Device to ReadyBoost" to turn on ReadyBoost. The "Use this Device" option uses a limited amount of space on the USB flash drive. The "Dedicate this Device to ReadyBoost" option uses all available free space on the drive.
- 4). Click "OK" to start using ReadyBoost.
