The Advantages of the Ideapad S10
- The IdeaPad S10 is a ten inch netbook manufactured by Lenovo. This ultra-portable netbook is affordable, yet still packs quite the punch for its size. While there are advantages and disadvantages to buying this computer, the advantages are quite nice and may just out-weight the negative for you.
- With most similar netbooks you usually have to sacrifice computing power and speed for the small size you're looking for. Not with the IdeaPad S10. While you certainly won't be playing high-end next-gen games on it, you'll easily be able to browse the web, keep up with friends and family and take your business on the go without having to worry about a slow computer hindering your work flow.
- Unlike other netbooks in its price range, the IdeaPad S10 allows you to easily upgrade certain components such as storage and ram. It also features an ExpressCard slot where you can plug in Bluetooth devices and get internet access in more places with the proper expansions. The IdeaPad S10 also features multiple USB ports, a VGA port and an Ethernet port, meaning there's no shortage of ways to expand your netbook.
- The Lenovo IdeaPad S10 features something normally seen in Apple computers, multi-touch gesture capabilities. With the IdeaPad S10 you can do common tasks like zoom and scroll by using certain gestures, such as "pinching" on the touch pad. This adds a lot of convenience to this already simple-to-use computer and is one of the reasons the IdeaPad S10 stands out so much.
- The bright, matte display provides an excellent image from multiple angles. This way, you and a friend can be looking at something on the screen without that darkening effect you usually get from looking at a laptop screen from the wrong angle. There is also very little glare and reflection with this netbook's display, meaning this is a premium choice for those who wish to use their IdeaPad S10 outdoors.
- A lot of small netbooks like this can feel kind of like toys. Whether it's cheap plastic, poor fabrication or some other factor, people are usually very careful with their netbooks out of fear of breaking them. This is not a concern with the Lenovo IdeaPad S10. When pressing on the palm rests and keys there is hardly any give under the weight of your hands. In fact, even if you forcibly push on the palm rests they show very little sign of give, meaning the Levono IdeaPad S10 will be around as long as you need it to be.
