How to Enter the BIOS of a Gateway Computer
- 1). Turn on your computer. If your computer is already on, then reboot it. You need to see the initial display screen to get into the BIOS.
- 2). Press the F2 key immediately in one second intervals when you see the initial screen displaying the BIOS provider information. This particular model is an exception because it uses the PhoenixBIOS.
- 3). Enter the password if required. When finished in the BIOS be sure to save your changes. For changes to take place, you must reboot the computer.

Reboot the computer. As soon as the computer reboots, rapidly and repeatedly strike the E8 key. If the Windows screen appears then you need to start over and try again. If you are successful, the Advanced Boot Options menu will pop up. - 2). Select Safe mode with the command prompt. This will bring you to the c: prompt.
- 3). Press Ctrl+Alt+S simultaneously. This will get you to the BIOS.
