Parenting is More Than a Responsibility, It"s a Privilege
If I could impart a little wisdom on some of the younger parents today, I would remind them, that through all challenges and responsibilities that it entails to be a parent these days, be sure to take the time out as often as possible to just take a good look at them.
Even if there not doing anything unusual, just remember to sneak that peak so you'll be able to cherish their moments of innocence.
Before their weather beaten by time and life, those toddler years, and elementary school years seem to go by like the blink of an eye.
Even when their pictures are on display in the living room and the dining, as they walk through the house while passing their pictures, you look at them, then look at their pictures, you look at them, then look at their pictures, wait a minute, it seems as though their changing before your very eyes.
You watch them grow up, it all seemed to have happened so very fast, next thing, their grown, the scenario changes.
Now they're starting to notice your aging process, the concerns are beginning to take reverse roles, perhaps you're starting to forget your house keys a little more than you did when they were still much younger.
Or maybe their starting to notice you taking unplanned naps more frequently right after that last meal of the day.
Your kids are now noticing you holding the news paper further and further away from yourself in order to read it, or better yet, they now see you reading with your glasses on your nose like Ben Franklin.
Thank you for your time, have a nice day.
