Losing weight gives most people cause for concern.
There are many weight loss programs and advice all over the place these days.
Some people even go as far as taking pills in order to lose weight.
This is not the best way to go about weight loss.
Aerobics and certain exercises are enough to help a fat person trim down and maintain that weight.
In this article, we will be looking at running as a form of exercise to cut that weight.
Here are some tips to help you get the ball rolling.
1.
Get a great pair of good running shoes.
You need to support your feet well.
Running shoes should be comfortable and cushion your feet.
Running shoes help you to keep your feet firm while you are doing your exercise.
2) Before you start off with your running program, it is always better to consult a doctor to find out if you are fit enough to take up the exercise.
This is more so if you have any underlying health problem that you have being diagnose of in the past.
You will need to check with the doctor to see if the exercise will not trigger another outbreak of the disease that may have been treated in the past.
3) Don't just jump into running.
Walk first for 5 minutes, and then run in long, smooth strides at a comfortable pace.
If you have chosen running, concentrate on it.
Do not alternate between running and jogging because it will only make you lose focus and stress your body unnecessarily.
Cool down by walking for another 5 minutes after your run.
4) When you initially start running, do not diet.
Eat your proper meals.
You can cut down on snacks and everything else but drink plenty of water and have a balanced diet.
Your body needs the energy.
The water will help you to stay hydrated while you are running and help keep your body fit for the job ahead.
5) Maintain a good posture when you run, watch your posture.
Relax your shoulders, look straight ahead, not down and pull your navel to your spine.
Do not clench your fists and drink a glass of water an hour before and after your run.
The body loses plenty of fluids through sweat when you run and your body needs to replenish them.
