It is not easy to quit smoking especially if you are already accustomed to such a bad habit.
Your decision to quit may be final but once you are faced with realization that there is no easy way out when you want to quit, apprehensions tend to cloud your mind.
It is indeed hard to accept the quit smoking symptoms as they are truly unpleasant.
If there is only one way to bypass them, for sure many smokers have been successful in their effort of quitting.
Unfortunately, these symptoms only provide them reason to abandon quitting and fall back into smoking.
Here are some of the symptoms that sometimes deter smokers to be smoke-free.
Bad Breath This is one symptom that every smoker wants to avoid.
If you fear having bad breath, it is recommended that you chew gum to cover up the bad odor.
You can have bad breath or halitosis when you start to develop the habit of smoking and it is only when you quit that you come to realize that you have such unpleasant smell.
Cough Another quit smoking unpleasantness that you have to endure is coughing.
This occurs when you quit smoking because the lungs begin to clean themselves.
Your body ejects the mucus caused by smoking.
Your cough will go away one to two weeks.
Cravings This is another symptom that you need to overcome if you are eager to quit.
You have to get your mind off smoking by keeping your hands and mind busy.
You can develop a new hobby or start to perform an exercise that will allow you to stay away from smoking.
This may take some time but do not give up as patience will surely pay off in the end.
Dizziness You may also feel dizzy when you kick the butt as your body begins to fix the red blood cells that have been damaged by carbon monoxide.
The extra oxygen that your bloods deliver to your brain causes you to feel dizzy.
Hunger Hunger pangs can also be felt when you are on the road to being smoke-free.
Cravings can actually be mistaken as hunger.
Hunger exists as you are use to putting something in your mouth.
You can get rid of such feeling by chewing a gum or eating raw vegetables.
Do not eat chocolates or junk food as these can only make you fat.
These quit smoking symptoms can occur without warning you.
They can be annoying but these are not enough reasons for you to quit.
Just imagine the pain you have lung cancer versus these symptoms which only last for a short period of time.
