How to Make Ghosts From Tissues
- 1). Pull out a few sheets of tissues from the box, depending on the number of ghosts that you intend to make. You will need 2 tissues to make each ghost.
- 2). Cut strands of yarn or ribbon, each one approximately 5 inches long. Cut the same number of ribbons as ghosts you intend to make.
- 3). Lay one tissue out flat on your work space. Wad up another sheet of tissue in your hand, to form a firm, rounded ball. This will serve as the ghost's "head."
- 4). Place the wadded tissue in the center of the tissue that you have laid flat on your work space. Lift each of the four corners, bringing them together to meet each other above the wadded ball of tissue.
- 5). Pinch the tissue together just above the wadded ball, gathering the tissue. Wrap one of the strands of ribbon or yarn over the gathered tissue, and tie a single knot. Tie a bow over the knot. Trim the loose ends.
- 6). Turn the "ghost" upright. Carefully spread the loose tissue ends with your fingers to give the ghost a fuller, gauzy look.
- 7). Cut a length of fishing line 2 feet or longer, and tie one end around the ghost's neck. Hang the ghost from your ceiling or from a doorway.
- 8). Draw a smiling or ghoulish face on your ghost using some glow-in-the-dark paint or a fine tip black marker.
