How to Put the Soft Top Back on My Jeep After Winter
- 1). Place the metal soft top frame on the Jeep. The metal frame comes with the soft top and will fit securely on the Jeep. The soft top will go over the metal frame.
- 2). Lock the soft top frame in place. The locking locations are towards the front of the windshield and at the rear runner on the inside of the Jeep, on the side. The locking mechanisms will hold the metal frame onto the Jeep.
- 3). Place the entire soft top gently over the frame while keeping the front plastic runner in line with the windshield retainer bar. Place the soft top plastic runner in the windshield retainer. Do this by sliding the runner into the retainer bar.
- 4). Pull the soft top gently over the rest of the frame and connect the rear corner plastic runners into the corner retainer bars of the Jeep.
- 5). Snap the middle and rear of the frame to the soft top. The snaps are located on the inside of the Jeep.
- 6). Take the rear window and zip it onto the soft top. Make sure to put the plastic runners into the retainer bars on the tailgate in the rear.
- 7). Put on the rear quarter windows. Align the three pins included with the soft top kit with the door grommets to secure the windows in place. Use the Velcro on the corners of the window to secure them further, and then zip the windows on.
- 8). Snap the frame to the soft top along the front passenger and driver’s side windows on the top of the inside of the Jeep.
- 9). Check to make sure all connections are securely in place.
