Finding the FrontPage Templates
Microsoft FrontPage 2002 offers a lot of pre-made page templates that make it easy for you to create nice looking page designs without a lot of effort.
To get to the page templates, go to the
File
menu and choose New
and then click New Page or Web...
. This will open the “New Page or Web” panel to the right of your FrontPage window.In this panel, look for the
New from Template
section, and click on Page Templates...
.Microsoft FrontPage will open a dialog box with a large number of templates to choose from. Choose the template that suits your web page or site best.
There are 27 general templates that come pre-installed with Microsoft FrontPage. Trying to decide which one is best for you can be very challenging. Luckily, Microsoft gives you some help.
Single click on a template that has an name that sounds interesting, and you'll notice that the Preview window on the right side of the dialog box changes to a small picture of the page. Plus, above the preview is a short text description of the template to give you a better idea of which one to use.
Once you've found the template that works for you, highlight it and click OK. FrontPage will open with a new web page in that template for you to edit.
