Compaq Presario V6000 Specifications
- While the V6305CA, V6310CA and V6316CA ran on the Windows XP operating system, the V6317CA and V6320CA came pre-installed with its immediate predecessor Windows Vista. The 6310 and 6317's processor was the Mobile AMD Sempron 3500 with 1.8 gigahertz of processing speed. The other models got the AMD Turion 64 processor, with that of 6320 yielding 1.8 GHz and that of the 6305 and 6316 surpassing the other three models with 2 GHz. Regarding system memory, the V6316CA had 512 megabytes, while the other models doubled that number.
- The V6305CA, V6310CA and V6316CA came with 80 gigabytes of hard drive storage. The V6317CA and V6320CA, however, topped those three with 120 GB and 160 GB, respectively. Regardless of difference in amount of storage space, each hard disk drive spun at a rate of 5,400 revolutions per minute. Also, each Compaq Presario V6000 had a Super Multi 8x DVD±R/RW with dual-layer support for playing and recording on several CD and DVD formats.
- Each Compaq Presario V6000 had an Altec Lansing sound driver, nVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 video/graphics card supporting up to 1,280 by 800 pixels in resolution, 56-kilobit-per-second modem, 10/100 Ethernet and 802.11b/g wireless connectivity. The notebook PC's external connectors included three USB 2.0 ports, VGA and FireWire connectors, remote-control infrared port, microphone and headphone jacks, and cable docking port. Also included is a 5-in-1 digital media adapter for Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro or xD Picture flash memory formats.
- Available only in a black finish, the Compaq Presario V6000 weighed 6.6 pounds, and it had a 101-key keyboard and a pair of Altec Lansing stereo speakers. The physical measurements consisted of a 14-inch width, 10.1-inch depth and 1.56-inch height. Included in the packaging was a 65-watt AC power adapter.
