People are impatient by nature.
We do not want to wait for people and the public transport.
We do not like to queue up.
We do not like to spend too much time and effort training for a six pack, which is why people have tried to find the one ultimate exercise in a bid to get a six pack muscle in the shortest time possible.
They did not lose their six packs over night.
The fats did not accumulate around their waist all of a sudden.
Therefore, you cannot possibly get a six pack abs overnight.
However, if you understand the principles governing effective abs exercises, then you will cut down a large amount of time required.
No matter what exercises you've picked up from the books or learnt from your friends and trainer, the most effective (and painful) way of exercising is to do it slow.
Some people think quantity is the key.
So they go for fifty repetitions of sit ups and whenever their shoulder blade touches the floor, they quickly execute the next sit up.
That sounds normal right? Yet, the quality of the sit up is comprised because of momentum.
Momentum makes doing exercises easier.
So, to increase the quality of your exercises, you should be doing them slow and controlled.
Execute one repetition, return to the position of inertia, and execute another repetition.
In this way, you will have to put in a greater effort to overcome the inertia and thus increases the quality of your workout.
An important point to take note is to use the middle of a joint's movement rather than the ends.
For example, when executing the push up, return to the normal position with your elbows slightly bent instead of straighten.
Returning to the end movement of the joints may cause injury in the tissues.
