When it comes time to choose a camera for your beachside vacation, you have a couple of options as far as capturing these moments so you can remember them forever.
Your first option would be a disposable waterproof camera, your second being a waterproof digital camera, and your third is a waterproof video camera.
If you are looking for the least expensive option, you might want to consider a disposable waterproof camera.
These cameras can generally handle depths ranging from 10 to 30 ft.
, and are perfect if you don't plan on taking a whole lot of pictures.
Of course, if you do wish to take a lot of pictures, you're going to have to carry a lot of disposables with you, so perhaps you'll want to look into the next option.
Your second option is a waterproof digital camera.
While these are about ten times the cost of a disposable camera, they allow you the flexibility of taking many more pictures than a disposable camera.
You also don't have to worry about getting film developed unless you really want to.
You'll also be able to use this camera for many vacations to come, rather than having it spit out 25 pictures, and just throwing it away.
Finally, if you want the flexibility of capturing both movies and pictures, there are plenty of waterproof digital video cameras out there.
A video camera really doesn't cost much more than a still digital camera these days, and even most still cameras have video options available.
This is your best option for capturing the best moments of your vacations.
