- 1). Connect one end of the USB cable to any available USB port on your laptop.
- 2). Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB end of the USB-to-IDE adapter.
- 3). Connect either end of the IDE cable to the IDE side of the USB-to-IDE adapter and screw it tightly into position.
- 4). Attach the far end of your IDE cable to the IDE device of your choice.
