Three Mistakes People New to Weight Training Make

You only need to go the gym, to see all the mistakes new members make.
One of the biggest mistakes they make is over training.
They instantly think by training for hours and hours each night there body will grow faster and get bigger.
It won't, the only thing you are doing here is wasting hours in the gym for nothing.
Your body needs rest to build and repair itself.
The second mistake I find a lot of new people make is lifting more weight than they can handle and not using proper form.
You must of all seen the guy on the bench press who loads up the bar with loads of weight and when you see him doing the exercise the bar is about 8 inches from reaching his chest on every rep.
The bar should touch your chest on every rep.
Sometimes you feel like saying to them take some weight off the bar and use a weight that you can lift correctly.
Most new members do it because the more weight they see on the bar, the more they think that they are getting bigger and stronger.
The third mistake I see is people not lifting enough weight and doing loads and loads of reps.
They have heard the rumor by doing more reps your muscles will tone up at a much quicker rate.
This just isn't true, you should look to complete around 8 to 10 reps on every exercise that you do.
Lift as much weight as you can using proper form and your last rep should be to failure.
If you can lift more then 10 reps its time to put more weight on that machine or bar.
If you are new to working out I suggest you take it easy at first, and build it up at a nice and steady pace.
Make sure your workouts are hard and under one hour, any more than this and you are over training.
Do the exercises correctly and eat a diet rich in protein, carbohydrates and low in fat and you should quickly start building lean muscle mass on your body.
