How to Knit a Rose
- 1). Cast on five stitches.
- 2). Knit in the front and back of the first stitch. Knit four. This is row one.
- 3). Purl four. Purl in the front and back of the next stitch. Purl one. This is row two.
- 4). Knit seven stitches. This is row three.
- 5). Knit seven stitches. This is row four.
- 6). Knit one. Knit two together. Knit four. This is row five.
- 7). Purl three. Purl two together. Purl one. This is row six.
- 8). Repeat rows one though six three times. Do not break the yarn. Continue with the instructions for the medium-sized petals directly after this row.

- 4). Sew the bottom edge (the straight edge) together to create the base of the flower.
- 5). Push the center up a bit and gather the base. Sew it in place.
