Begin sleeping on your side; if you must tie a tennis ball or any other ball to the back of your pajamas with a sock to prevent you from rolling over onto your back.
You can also purchase some big body pillows and place right behind you that will prevent you from rolling over onto your back.
This may help you get more sleep unless you have a severe snoring problem.
Do not use a pillow: A pillow could be causing you to snore because it puts a kink in the neck and prevents air from coming into the air passages.
If you can somehow elevate the head of the bed about four inches may help you breath easier by pushing your tongue and jaw forward which clears your airway.
Stop smoking: Everyone has heard that smoking is bad for you, now it has also been associated with snoring.
If you can quit smoking and avoid second hand smoke altogether this will reduce the intensity of that obnoxious sound that has been keeping you and your partner up at night.
Aromatic herbs: This may make you sleep more rested; place them under your pillow as you sleep.
Nostril stretching devices: They are called Breathe-Right strips; they are strips that you put on your nose during the night like a band aid which allow more air to enter your lungs and leave by way of the nose rather than during the mouth during your sleep.
You can stop the loud snoring and start getting some sleep if you begin applying some of the steps above.
However if your snoring persists you should visit your local doctor to make sure your case is not extremely severe.
You may have sleep apnea and that would require special treatment.
