Have you ever heard of artist trading cards? If you are someone who is regularly looking at mixed media art then you will probably know about ATC's.
If you would love to do a small pieces of art, but don't think of yourself as an arty person, and you cannot draw, don't despair.
Everyone has some creativity deep within themselves, maybe it's time to get yours out.
First I'll take you a little about artist trading cards, they are small pieces of art, the size of a normal playing card.
They may have collage on them, they may be painted or stamped, they may have words or quotes.
On the backs of them as they usually have an address phone number and e-mail address of the person who made them.
Once you start having a go at making an ATC, you may find it very addictive and difficult to stop.
One great thing about them, is that they don't take very much time at all.
People who make ATC's, love to swap them with others.
That way, they can build up a collection, of wonderful pieces of original art.
If you would like to try to make an ATC here are a few tips.
Start by cutting out a piece of white card stock the same size as an ordinary playing card.
If you have some scrap booking paper that you like, then glue that onto the ATC.
Go over it with some colored felts in random shapes, for instance little squares and little circles.
You might like to color them in.
Now cut out some thing that interests you from a magazine and glue that onto the ATC.
Now, print out a small quote that you love and glue that onto the ATC.
Okay so that is your first artist trading card.
