Get your head in the game! If you want to lose belly fat and keep it off forever it is all in your head.
Forget about all those crazy abs machines or weight loss pills and focus on changing the way you think about fat loss first.
The number one reason I see people fail to reach their fitness goals is the lack of mental strength.
In fact I would be willing to bet that the reason most people don't reach any goal is the lack of mental strength.
If you believe you can accomplish something most likely you will make it happen.
If you believe that your efforts will pay off then you have already made great strides in achieving that goal.
Having a fat loss mentality involves being positive and realistic about your goal.
Your strategic goal should be to maintain a healthy lifestyle while your tactical goals will be all about winning those weekly battles to stay fit.
Here are three ways to master the fat loss mentality: #1: Believe you can achieve your goal.
By allowing yourself to believe it is possible is the first and most important step.
You should not move on to number two before you are able to accomplish number one.
Having a positive attitude and the willingness to learn from your mistakes will allow you to believe anything is possible.
#2: Write your goals down and distinguish them by long term and short term time frames.
How are you supposed to know where your going unless you have a map.
For example your long term goal could be keeping your body weight below 180 pounds and your short term goal would detail your meal plan for the next week to only include one day for treats.
#3: Once you have achieved a goal mark it off your list and celebrate If you don't reward yourself for staying disciplined you will begin to lose that mental fitness.
No one else is going to reward you for reaching your own goals so make sure you do.
It is that simple but most people don't get past believing they can do it or they just skip to making goals.
Start today by believing in your ability and then focus on reaching your fat loss goal.
I promise you will start to see results and not just in your fitness level but all parts of your life.
As time goes on you will develop a lifestyle that is focused on healthy choices and it will no longer feel like a chore to lose body fat.
