How to Build a Voodoo PC
- 1). Attach the grounding wrist strap to your wrist. Attach the other end of the strap to bare metal on the computer case.
- 2). Mount the nForce 760 SLI MCP motherboard to the case using the supplied screws. The motherboard expansion slots must face the top and back of the case.
- 3). Lift the CPU arm on the motherboard. Line up the CPU pins to the CPU slot and place the CPU into position. Slide the CPU arm back down to lock the CPU into place. Add a light covering of thermal paste to the top of the CPU (the thermal paste ships with the CPU). Mount the liquid-cooling system to the CPU, motherboard nForce chip and on-board nVidia chip (identified by the "nForce" and "nVidia" logos).
- 4). Mount the hard drives and DVD recorder onto the case rails using the supplied screws. Slide the hard drives and DVD recorder into the case.
- 5). Press the memory stick firmly into the memory slot. You will know it is in place when the latches from the slot firmly grab hold of it.
- 6). Mount the power supply to the case. Plug the power supply into the motherboard, hard drives and DVD recorder. Remove the grounding strap and close the case.
- 7). Attach the mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers and power cord to the back of the computer. Power up the computer and insert the Windows installation disc. Follow the on-screen instructions for installing Windows.
- 8). Install all the software that came with your hardware. Run Windows Update, rebooting as necessary.
