How to Troubleshoot Bluetooth Mouse Problems
- 1). Examine the batteries in the Bluetooth mouse. Batteries in Bluetooth devices drain easily and need regular replacement. Replace the batteries with new ones if necessary.
- 2). Attach the mouse to the computer with a cable. This will help you determine if the problem lies with the Bluetooth communication protocol. If the mouse works properly with the cable, then there is a problem with the Bluetooth configuration.
- 3). Pull out any Bluetooth devices from the computer temporarily. Occasionally, some devices are not compatible with one another. Restart the computer and check if the mouse operates correctly. If the mouse is working, gradually add all the Bluetooth devices until it ceases working. This will tell you which device is the problem.
- 4). Enable auto-discovery on the computer. Right-click on the Bluetooth icon on your system tray and click on "Open Bluetooth Settings." Select the "Options" menu. Check the box that is marked "Turn Discovery On." Restart the computer.
