My iPhone Won't Play in My Car
- 1). Plug the iPhone into the car's tape deck via a cassette tape adapter. If you have a tape player in your car, this is the cheapest, easiest way to play your iPhone in your car. On one end, the adapter is a cassette tape, and on the other it is a 1/8-inch audio plug that fits into the headphone output of your iPhone. Set the car stereo to play "Tape," and operate the iPhone as your normally would for audio playback.
- 2). Purchase an FM transmitter. This will allow you to broadcast the iPhone's audio from the headphone jack to the car's antenna. Find a station full of static, tune the transmitter to that station and plug the FM transmitter into the iPhone. Operate the iPhone normally.
- 3). Install a 1/8-inch auxiliary cable in the car. Visit a car stereo specialist and have them wire the cable into your car's stereo. You will be able to plug it into the headphone jack of the iPhone and play the audio through your car's speakers.
