- 1). Turn on the printer by briefly pressing the power button. Wait for the printer to finish its warm-up process before proceeding.
- 2). Press the "Menu" button on the front of the printer, which will display the main menu on the printer's display screen. Press the down button on the printer's control panel until the option "Clean Printhead" is highlighted. Press the "Ok" button on the control panel. Use the arrows to select "Basic Clean" and press "Ok" once more.
- 3). Wait as the printer cleans the printer head, which can take several minutes. When the process is done, print a document to see how it prints. If there are still print quality issues, go back through the menu on the printer's display until you reach the "Clean Printhead" option. After pressing the "Ok" button, select "Deep Clean." The printer will clean the printer head more extensively.
