How To Be An Entrepreneur Athlete
Or maybe like I was you're on a condensed work week and the extra days off are great but that 12 hour day at work is killer.
Well, if you want something new, I've got some bad news, you may have to work for it.
In this day and age we want things to happen instantly.
We want our microwave to cook faster.
We want our computers to boot up faster.
We want to fly around the world in an hour not 12 hours!! So why can't we expect that if we want change in our lives it should just happen easily and quickly overnight, right? And if something looks too challenging we may be tempted to want someone else to do it for us.
We may even think that if we copy someone else exactly then we'll automatically get the success they worked so hard for.
Well, I'm sorry to tell you it doesn't work that way.
Do you think that athletes get up one morning and decide to be the Olympic gold medalist in swimming? No, that's ridiculous thinking you may be saying to yourself.
Of course an athlete is going to have to spend hours upon hours, days, weeks, months and even years to train their bodies to greatness.
So why then is it that we think we can change our lives overnight? The result is really great but the road to getting there isn't necessarily going to be comfortable or cushy and sometimes not very fun.
Success may require action even when you don't feel like it.
You may even feel tired or have sore muscles from the day before but you need to keep at it.
It takes work every day and it could take a couple of years to get the glory you're working towards.
But like the athlete, the discipline will pay off.
It's up to you to keep yourself motivated and pushing forward.
Realize that everyone is different and we all have our challenges we want to overcome and improvements we want to make for ourselves and our families.
Try not to look at someone else that has the success you're looking for and try to be like them.
I mean its okay to want the success they have, but the road they took to get there may not suit you.
Don't spend your life trying to be like someone else.
You are unique and you have treasures to share with others that will in turn help you improve your life too.
In order to stop being under someone else's control you will need to take control.
Are you the type of person that can influence others or are you easily influenced by others? It's okay to be influenced by others as long as they've earned your respect.
Be authentic with yourself and those around you.
Become the author of your own life without copying someone else.
In order to have change in your life you can't just sit back and allow things to happen to you.
You have to take control of your environment and make the changes you want happen.
Do you suppose the professional weight lifter sat on the couch waiting for big muscles to happen? Not likely, they had to change their environment show up at the gym every day and take action to get what they want.
This is where the good news comes in.
If you decide to take daily action and be authentic with yourself, you may be turning into an entrepreneur and making the first steps towards taking your life in your own hands.
All you need to do now is find the right opportunity for you.
Fix your attention on things, people and action that are good and that matter.
Realize what's going to be required of you to take control and respond to it.
Opportunities are everywhere for you to take hold of but it's what you do with them that will count.
Become an entrepreneur and see yourself grow as a leader and teacher.
But realize this is a road that will take persistence, drive, hard work and daily action.
You can achieve great success by being around others that have taken control of their lives.
But be careful to always be yourself and cut the path that works for you.
Be an entrepreneur athlete and realize it may take some time to get your body and mind into Olympic entrepreneur greatness.
The awards are great, but it's up to you to take action.
