How to Clean Ceramic Tile With Vinegar
- 1). Vacuum or sweep the tiles to remove excess dirt and dust---if you don't do this, you risk creating a grimy mop, which may actually make your tiles dirtier.
- 2). Fill two buckets with warm water. One for the rinse water and one for the cleaning solution. Add ¼ cup of vinegar to one bucket and use this to mop the floors. Regularly re-dip and clean the mop to avoid working any dirt it has picked up into the tile joints.
- 3). Change the water when it becomes cloudy, adding vinegar to the fresh water. Thoroughly clean the mop then wipe over the tiles again using the rinse water.
- 4). Place the old towel or rag on the floor and dry carefully. If getting down on hands-and-knees is uncomfortable, then stand on top of the towel and shimmy across the floor to dry it. Pay particular attention to grout lines to ensure they are dry.
