How to Put the Norton Removal Tool on CD
- 1). Open a Web browser on the Windows 7 computer and go to the Norton Removal Tool website at norton.com. Click on the name of the Norton product that is installed on your computer. Follow the instructions to obtain the license key for the Norton software if you intend to install the software at a later time.
- 2). Click on the "Download" button and save the "BUDump.exe" file to the computer hard drive. Note the location where the "BUDump.exe" is saved to your computer.
- 3). Place a blank CD-R into the CD/DVD drive on the computer. Click the "Burn Files to Disc" button in the window that appears. Click the "Disc title" box and type a title for the disc. Click the "Next" button.
- 4). Click the "Start" button then click the "Computer" icon and then navigate to the location where the downloaded "BUDump.exe" file is located. If unsure of the location, click the "Start" button on the Windows 7 desktop and then click the "Search" box and type "BUDump.exe" in the "Search" box, and the "BUDump.exe" file icon will appear.
- 5). Place the mouse cursor on the "BUDump.exe" file, and then press down on the left mouse button and drag the file to the "Drag Files to This Folder to Add Them to the Disc" message in the open CD/DVD-RW drive window and then release the left mouse button.
- 6). Click the "Burn to Disc" button located just above the "Files Ready to be Written to the Disc" message. Click the "Next" button in the message that appears.
