White grubs is a generic named given to a collection of small white larvae that usually infest the lawn.
These larvae are not limited to any one particular type of a beetle such as june beetles but larvae from Asian beetles are considered the worst.
These lawn grubs can consider into any gardener's nightmare, since after these larvae are hatched by the beetles they go underground and can cause the soil to lose its nutrients and weakens the plants and cause the overall garden to wither and die.
If the problem is not identified in the earliest stages it can cause the whole landscape to get damaged and the whole efforts of creating a perfect garden down the drain.
It is always better to take care of white grubs before the spring season since this is the time the larvae hatches and then turn into bugs which will not only create soil erosion but also eat away the leaves.
This in turn creates a lot of debris on the surface of the soil and leads to thatching problem.
There are many pesticides that can easily take care of the bug infestation problem, but one has to be really careful for lawn grubs since the larvae are good six inches below the soiland cannot be reached easily.
Many gardeners and landscapists prefer using pesticides when they have recently dethatch the soil this helps the pesticides to reach below the ground surface and take care of the lawn grubs problem.
There are various pesticides available but it is always better to use a pesticide that will not only take care of infestation problem but also does not damage the plant.
While using any kind of chemicals one should always wear protective gear, this includes gloves so that the hands do not come in direct contact with the harmful chemical as well as a mask so that the toxic fumes of the pesticides are not inhaled accidentally.
