Our top story is the appearance of a second sun in the skies above the planet of Hellifyno.
This sun is smaller, closer to the planet, and reddish in color.
While it does not give off a large amount of heat, it does cast a powerful reddish glow over the land wherever it shines.
It has also caused night time to be reduced to a mere 3 hours a day.
When the first sun sets, the second continues to glow, casting the land in a crimson hue that is just bright enough to see by.
This has been a wild and crazy summer for Hellifyno's skies.
First the world was subjected to a two-week period where the sun was completely extinguished by the malevolent power of the Winter Queen, followed by a period of searing heat that withered crops, dried up ponds and streams, and began melting the polar ice caps.
Now another Fae plot has prompted the creation of a second sun.
While we don't know what the purpose of this celestial body is, we do know that it was first formed at the end of a Dream Tower mission featuring Raelin Wolvarian Aero.
More on that story later on in the Chronicle.
As time passes, the sun actually seems to be absorbing some of the excess summer heat that was created at the death of the Winter Queen.
This has been shown in a direct correlation between the temperature on the planet's surface lowering, and the size of the crimson sun.
Black Ooze River A river of black foul smelling ooze has formed on the surface of the planet Hellifyno, starting in the midst of the north eastern corner of the Northern Continent in the forest east of the Blue Moon Tavern, and flowing for several miles winding through forests and meadows.
Rumors abound as to the origin of this river, although inside sources with the Fae claim that the Summer Court's Overlord, Oberon was a witness to its creation.
These sources claim that he was out destroying some of Hellifyno's vegetation - possibly some of the plants that grew from the seeds Echo provided to help restore the forests of our world - when creatures made entirely of flames appeared from nowhere.
The story goes on to cite these creatures as chanting in a tongue that even the fire lord didn't understand.
A few moments later the earth began to rend, and black noxious ooze bubbled up from underneath the ground.
This ooze burnt the land, destroying everything in its path, creating a river a hundred feet wide which stretches on for many miles.
This stream of darkness flows directly into the pit which stands on the location of the former Blue Moon tavern.
This spot was originally excavated by the Slayers during their occupation, and has since become a place of horror and aversion, with howling, screaming sounds emanating from the ground, and a sense of wrongness and taint in the very air.
Readers are warned to stay away from this river of ooze as it is highly noxious and poisonous, destroying wildlife and vegetation in any area it flows through.
Several small villages are already being directed to relocate due to the presence of this new blighted system on the planet.
Asylums Rioting, Madness in the Streets The problem of insanity has gotten worse and worse.
Now asylum inmates across the planet have begun rioting.
Guards are being killed, and the inmates are turning into roaming mobs that set upon villages and towns, killing the inhabitants in the most gruesome ways possible.
With these secure facilities falling to their patients, there are fewer and fewer places to safely lock up those who continue to fall prey to the Fae Madness.
This has led to warehouses, barns, and even caves being converted into makeshift hospitals, with patients restrained using anti magic hand cuffs in order to prevent them from using their powers.
Meanwhile the countryside is even more dangerous, as the escapees from the rioting asylums are traversing the land in search of victims for their mad violent needs.
Occasionally these groups clash with the roaming bands of Fae monsters which patrol the land, leading sometimes to conflict and battle, but other times to unions between these groups of hell bent wanderers.
As always, all citizens are urged to remain indoors, in safe secure locations that are guarded by the Hellifyno military.
If anyone you know begins to show signs of contracting the Fae madness, they should be watched very carefully, and restrained immediately if their behavior gets severe.
Kalina and the Children Over the course of the past two weeks, incidents have arisen around the popular Blue Moon Tavern and in neighboring villages that seem to revolve around disturbing images or sounds of children.
The sounds of children singing old nursery rhymes, images of them marching in a line stretching out across the world seem to be the most common.
Most disturbingly, the missing child cases are skyrocketing, suggesting that these may not be just images.
The bodies of little boys and girls have been appearing in the most horrific fashions.
Decapitated heads thrown through windows, babies wrapped in swaddling that are covered in insects, even impaled figures that are posted on either side of popular roads.
The ones who retain facial features are all said to have large, gaping smiles that hint at the insanity that's sweeping the planet.
Also common in these sightings, a being has been spotted amongst the parading children and even seen participating in the grotesque mutilations of live kids between the stages of infancy and puberty.
Those who know of the being are spreading word that it has a name: Kalina.
The identity and reasoning behind the activity are not yet certain.
The Silverhide Civil War A war has broken out within the larger universal conflict brought on by the Fae.
The vaunted warrior clan known as the Silverhides is facing an internal struggle to decide the fate of the leadership of this proud people.
The conflict has broken out between Jared Silverhide, the duly appointed leader of the Silverhide pack, and Targore Silverhide, who claims that Jared is no longer fit to wield authority over their people.
Targore is citing Jared's commitment to the war effort against the Fae as being detrimental to his ability to lead.
He also claims that the Fae madness inflicted upon Jared by Anthropophage has made him too dangerous and unstable to care for the pack.
The conflict has led to violent battles where brother is fighting against brother in brutal clashes.
Silverhides are dying every day, and the war is only getting worse with time.
However a new hope has arisen.
A prophecy says that if the Alpha male conceives a child with a pure blood vampire, that the offspring will one day grow up to bring lasting peace to the Silverhides.
In order to ensure that this prophecy is fulfilled, Jared has impregnated two separate Vampire pure blood women, Amaranta St.
Clair, and Girlycard.
The offspring were born with surprising rapidity and have grown in an equally fast and astounding manner.
The name of the child by Amaranta is Daegon, and the one conceived with Girlycard is named Jespar.
The problem now seems to be that with two different individuals being born to fulfill the prophecy, who will actually be the one to unite the clan? Could this be leading up to yet another civil war in the future? Only time will tell.
A Dream of Raelin Another surreal Dream Tower incident has occurred leading to the destruction of yet another one of the Fae Towers of Insanity.
The focus of this particular event was Raelin Wolvarian Aero.
As always the surreal event began in the Blue Moon Tavern, in the early evening as patrons were just settling in to their drinks.
Suddenly, patrons began coughing, wheezing, and showing other signs of illness.
This happened very suddenly, and was accompanied by a surreal feeling of strangeness, and the sounds of flames crackling in the air.
The illness progressed very rapidly until every patron in the bar had the sensation of actually dying of the plague.
However they woke up completely fine a few moments later in what seemed to be the Abyss.
Rae was missing at this point.
Then a horde of demons converged on the heroes beating them back and then eventually forming together to create an enormous representation of the Abyssal Lord Farzik.
Led by a figure that looked like Rae's mate Aiden, the heroes were directed to climb up a tree.
However a few moments later there was a sensation of falling and together they collapsed into a giant pile of feathers.
At this point they found themselves in attendance upon an ancient Nyxarian ceremony.
A figure of Rae was there, and she and another of her race fought.
At the end of the battle she died, and there was an explosion and everyone felt as if they had died.
A few moments later, though, they found themselves on the edge of the realm of impossibility.
Here the real Raelin appeared, standing before her accompanying Tower of Insanity.
The heroes then had to fight Rae in single combat.
Everyone present took a swing at her, but the principle heroes that led to her death were Daloki, Aleksei and Bloody Rose.
As she died, the Tower fell and they were sifted through a hazy mishmash of surreal images which eventually led them back to the Tavern.
Here, Raelin was alive, but she was shooting a huge amount of flame out of her body into the air.
This was the excess heat of the Summer Rage that had been bestowed on her by Elexin.
Ironically this excess heat had been slowly killing the Nyxarian warrior.
Now it was being expelled from her body rapidly, shooting into the air where it formed the second sun which sits above the clouds to this very day.
After the fire had been expelled from her body, Rae proceeded to get violently angry, her behavior completely paranoid and uncontrollable.
After lashing out violently at several of the people present, she was committed by Daloki to a local asylum where she could be restrained and cared for.
There is one interesting note to point out about this story.
Researchers have started to notice that as each of the Towers of insanity falls, the others seem to grow larger, both taller and wider.
The strange surreal effects that occur around these structures also seem to grow more virulent and widespread with each dream mission.
Nobody has as of yet offered an explanation for this phenomenon.
