Important Keys to Building Muscle Mass
Many people believe that losing weight is hard, well think gain because trying to gain weight is even harder.
I say this because I used to be a skinny and all my efforts to gain weight were fruitless since I was what the fitness industry refers to as a hard gainer.
I was willing to try out almost anything just to add a few pounds, but I finally hit jack pot when I went to a very informative seminar which actually changed my life.
The information I got out of that seminar was quite powerful and that is what I am hoping to share with you in this article.
My main drive in writing this article is because I know the feeling you get when you try to gain weight but in each attempt you make you end up failing miserably.
I had tried gaining weight for almost six years without any success and I was almost giving up because I thought that maybe gaining weight was not in my genes.
Well I have good news for you, anyone has the capacity of gaining weight irregardless of the genes you might be having.
All you simply need to do is to know your body type and then determine which type of work out routine will best work for you.
What was able to work for me was as follows; 1.
Maintain a weight gaining nutrition A good nutrition will determine whether you stand a chance of gaining weight.
You should first of all determine what you aim to achieve, for those people wanting to acquire massive muscles then they should take high calorie foods especially quality proteins such as fish, red meat, white eggs and legumes.
If you are only looking to develop a well toned body, then your calorie intake should be equal to the amount of training you are doing per day.
Don't just aim to gain weight but insist on getting quality weight which incorporates having a well defined body.
2.
Weight training A lot people hate this form of exercise because they conceive it to be very difficult to perform.
This can not be further from the truth, weight training is only difficult in the beginning once you get the hang of it and your body becomes used to it, it becomes very easy to perform.
Weight training enables you to gain quality weight in the sense that you are not just gaining fat, but you also gain muscles as well.
Before starting out on this type of training you should find out which weight training will best meet your needs.
Your decision should be based on whether you want to gain lean muscles or acquire massive muscle gain.
If you want to be huge then train using heavy weights with low reps and if you simply want a well toned body use lighter weights with more reps.
3.
Rest You need to give your body a sizable degree of rest, for you to be able to gain weight.
