How to Freeze Stuffed Pork Chops
- 1). Place the fresh pork chops into a rigid, freezer-safe plastic container. Press an airtight lid onto the container to prevent freezer burn.
- 2). Scoop the homemade pork chop stuffing into a separate plastic storage container with an airtight lid, or a heavy duty zip-close freezer bag featuring a zipper seal. Allow a 1/2 inch of head space for expansion during the freezing process. Seal the container or bag securely.
- 3). Write the date on pieces of freezer tape and press them onto the container or bag as a convenient reference.
- 4). Freeze the pork chops in a freezer set at 0 degrees F or below for as long as four to six months, and the stuffing for up to one month.
- 5). Thaw the pork chops and stuffing in a refrigerator the day you intend to cook them. Fill the thawed pork chops with the thawed stuffing prior to cooking.
