While preparing a resume, one should keep in mind the length of the entire bio-data.
It should not be too lengthy, for recruiters do not have much time to spend reading one particular resume for a long period of time.
Out of the thousands of applicants sending in their CV's they can only go through the important points in a jiffy.
So, it is very important to write down a few important points and bold a few of them if the candidate wants to highlight certain points that he wants to bring to their attention.
Resumes can not only be prepared for those appearing for one particular company, but also the multi-facets of searching for the best job.
For one who isn't sure of which company to apply for, you can build a generalized resume with a few very important points mentioned that should read out clearly the objective of the candidate, the languages he's comfortable with using and, of course, all his educational details and work experience.
His resume should define the target he's been aiming to achieve and whether his percentage and marks statistics are qualified enough to be a strong contestant of the aforementioned target.
A candidate with no plans or target; one who's confused with what job to apply for can only set up a confusing resume, which is not advisable at all.
So, it is very important to set a proper target and have all the interests developed for what he aims to do before he can set up a neat and informative resume.
Also, a candidate should be very careful of what he's writing in his resume because once he is shortlisted for the interview he might be asked questions regarding a few points that he has mentioned in his profile and not being able to answer that properly can only ruin his chances of doing well in the interview.
