On Your Way to Your Destination Wedding

Now that all the details have been dealt with it's time to get going! But wait a minute...
What about the favors? And your wedding dress? Are you going to take all that stuff on the plane with you? When you think of all the horror stories about luggage that ends up in Abu Dabi instead of Maui it makes your stomach clench up.
What if there's no room on the plane to hang your dress? What if your favors get lost? And even if they don't, stress is not good for brides-to-be.
Ask your planner if there's  a place to send these things.
If you send them you can insure them and, more importantly, you can track them.
Many hotels will hold packages for guests if you call them ahead of time and explain the situation.
Make sure to get the name and position of the person that you speak with if you're sending them to a hotel.
And most hotels have the ability to steam your dress to get rid of any wrinkles.
Sometimes the planner will have enough storage so that you can send it all to him or her.
(This is your best bet if it's possible.
Let's face it, you're more important to your planner than you are to a hotel.
) It's also a good idea to arrive at least a couple of days before the ceremony.
There may be things (like getting a marriage license) that you need to do.
You may want to do a trial run with your hair and make up artist.
It also gives you a chance to get acclimated and recover from jet lag.
And the time to relax on the beach or by the pool.
You want to be fresh and glowing the day of your wedding.
The main point is this; do not put anything that you can't replace easily in your check in luggage.
We want you and your essentials to arrive safely and in the best of shape!
