How to Make a Simple Fingertip Veil
- 1). Measure from the top of the bride's head to the tips of her fingers to determine the length of tulle you need to buy. Buy a little extra in case you make a mistake cutting.
- 2). Create the style of veil you want using tissue paper. It is only necessary to design one side of the veil. Fold the tulle in half and use the tissue paper as a pattern to cut the tulle. Cut the fabric with a rotary cutter on a rotary cutting mat. When cut and unfolded, the veil will be symmetrical.
- 3). Edge the veil with ribbon, flat trim, lace or by rolling the edges under one-quarter inch to one-half inch. Secure with needle and thread.
- 4). Cover a flat surface with foil or wax paper. Lay the veil on the covered surface and apply embellishments with a hot glue gun. Allow to dry.
- 5). Gather the top of the veil and attach it to a wire or plastic hair comb with the needle and thread. Embellish with flowers, beads, lace or feathers.
