- 1). Push and slide the protective cover from the back of your phone. Remove the battery and SIM card. Locate the IMEI code on your SIM card.
- 2). Write down the IMEI code. You need this code in order to receive an unlock code from your cell phone provider.
- 3). Contact your cell phone provider. Ask them for an unlock code. Provide the IMEI code, the cell phone's model number, the manufacturer and your cell phone number.
- 4). Press the "OK/Menu" button. Navigate to "Media" or "Tools," depending on how your cell phone is set up. Select "Ringtones."
- 5). Enter the unlock code. Press "OK." You should now be able to access the ring tone file or files.
