When I first got my corner desk, I had no clue what to put on it.
All it had was a lamp and a laptop.
If you are also experiencing such issues, it is time to get one of these three accessories.
Not only would these accessories improve your productivity, it would also make your corner desk a more cheerful place.
Before you read about these accessories, you should get rid of any items that may reduce your overall productivity.
For example, make sure all your portable gaming devices such as your Nintendo DS are safely stored away in a place well out of reach.
The first accessory you should have on your corner desk is a wrist cushion, especially if you spend a lot of time in front of your computer.
As you may have read, it is not good for your overall posture if you spend more than two hours straight on the computer, therefore it is essential to have accessories that will reduce the overall stress on your body.
Wrist cushions are useful because they have ergonomic properties.
Sometimes, you may feel a strain on your wrist because you have been typing for a long period of time.
This is when a cushion comes in handy.
There are many different types such as the gel pad, orthopedic pad, and foam pad.
The secondary accessory you should have is a lamp that comes with a incandescent or "warm white" CFL bulb.
For most of those in the working force, we spend over forty hours a week working at our desks.
If you want to keep your eyes healthy while at work, you need to get rid of bright fluorescent lights because they increase the risk of cataracts.
According to one study, working under bright fluorescent light for forty or more hours can increase the risk of certain eye diseases.
Therefore, it is essential to get a lamp with a CFL bulb in order to put less strain on your eyes.
The third accessory you should have on your corner desk is a small to-do board.
I found this to be an efficient way of increasing my overall productivity.
For example, every morning, I will write down a list of tasks which are SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely).
Once I complete all those tasks, I know I have had a productive day.
Not just that, I do not have to dread having to wait until my working hour is complete.
These are just a few accessories you should have on your corner desk.
