If you want to use on your bed for some extra storage space, then bed risers would be a good investment.
These lift your bed off the ground by a few inches more in order to allow you to put more under your it.
If you are having difficulty making some storage space in your home, then you likely are more than a little in need for something like this.
When most people hear the term bed risers they usually thing of thick blocks of plastic that are put under the feet of the bed.
These are the traditional styles and they are still available, but you can find more than the traditional plastic block styles out there these days.
You can actually find them in quite a few styles, many of which look fairly decent and are barely noticeable to most people.
Finding them is easy, and finding the perfect ones is not difficult either.
On of the more popular types of bed risers that you can find these days is the type that is stackable.
These usually come as sets of small blocks that can be stacked one on top of another and you place the feet of your bed on top of them.
Many styles also accommodate wheels, which is convenient if your bed frame has wheels on the ends of the feet.
You can find these in plastic, wooden, and sometimes even steel varieties.
The type you decide on should be determined by your budget and your room decor.
Usually plastic is the most affordable, followed by steel and then wood.
The wooden varieties are generally more aesthetically pleasing and hence they are the most expensive.
If you have a whole bed set including head board and base board, then you can also get brackets to hold the mattress higher than initially intended.
These tend to be expensive, but they are a good alternative if you have a beautiful head board and base board that you want to continue to use.
These also do not ruin the effect that the boards have, as you do not have to put anything underneath the wheels, which can be unattractive depending on your bed set and the room decor.
While these two styles are common, there are many more out there for you to choose from.
Another common type is referred to as a bed elevator, though it is essentially the same as the stacklable styles.
These can not be stacked, but many times they are tall enough to not need to be stacked up.
This along with the other varieties mentioned above are only a few styles of bed risers you can choose from.
