We all know that some moments of silence are much needed when you have a new born. Especially when that silence is required in some situations like when you are in a plane, at the church or maybe in a bus. You can teach your baby to be silent in those particular situations, by blanket training him. I will show you in this article a method that has done wonders for a lot of mothers that now have no trouble with their baby's crying.

Follow these steps to properly blanket train your baby

First of all, choose a comfortable blanket for this process. I recommend you to use the same baby blanket [http://www.babyblanketsbooth.com] for every training session. If you do that, the baby will develop some sort of reflex and when he sees that blanket,he knows it's quiet time. Once you have chosen the blanket, you will also need a couple of baby toys; ones that your baby likes would be perfect, but make sure they are toys that make no sound, such as plush teddy bears. Different kind of toys are recommended, because the baby will get bored of the same old toy.

Begin blanket training at an early age and make the baby spend a couple of hours on the blanket each day. When he grows older, the blanket time should decrease, because babies get bored fast. Besides that, much more important for his health is to take walks and discover all sot of new things then sitting on a blanket, am I right? Instead, try putting him to sleep on the blanket, by singing or talking to him.

Continue using this method for a longer period of time. Remember that the baby can't understand what you want him to do at a very early age, so you will need to have as much patient as you can. He will feel the need to crawl away from the blanket when he will be able to do that. Put him back on the blanket and let him know that what he did was wrong and in time he will understand what you want from him. Try not to scare him:).

Here are some tips about baby blanket training

  • Never stop being consistent. It is the only way you will get some quality results. Be patient with your baby. He won't sit still on the blanket when you want him to, but when HE wants.

  • Start the training at an early age, because a one year old is more difficult to train than a couple of months old one.

  • Results may vary depending on the baby's personality.
