Fat - The Misunderstood Part of Our Diet

Chew the fat, burn the fat, fat is flavor, baby fat, and phat! What an incredibly misunderstood part of our diet and social culture.
Dietary fat is incredibly important for our good health, body and brain functions.
The very best fat source is Omega-3/Marine Lipids like Salmon Oil, Mackerel, Sardine Oil, and Krill Oil.
Other great non-marine sources include Flaxseeds, Flaxseed Oil, Walnuts, and fat from pastured animals.
An exciting new type of marine lipid I have been investigating is the oil from New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussels.
I have read some amazing testimonials and reports about its benefits for pain, arthritis and inflammation but have not tried it yet myself.
Lyprinol is the brand name that it is being sold and marketed by and I have provided a link if you are interested in reading more: Lyprinol.

Drugs are a constant threat to our health and happiness and the FDA has just approved a new diet pill called Orlistat for Over-the-Counter use.
Orlistat is a pharmaceutical fat blocker with horrible side effects like pooping your pants, or "leaking oil".
Apparently, the drug blocks your body's ability to absorb fats, which I assume means healthy, essential Omega-3 fats as well.
What could be worse than blocking something that most people are not getting enough of already! For the full story and a well written article by Tom Venuto click the link below and visit his blog: Burn The Fat Blog There is a new book about Omega-3 Fat that I plan on reading soon.
The book is called "The Queen of Fats: Why Omega-3s Were Removed from the Western Diet and what we can do to Replace them" by Susan Allport.
