So you want to know if the protein diet is safe? Of course you do.
I would never go on a diet without knowing if it were safe, so I wouldn't expect you to either.
Well the truth is...
it can be! More than 75% of the people who go on this type of diet put their health at risk by neglecting a very important rule.
But I'm here to make sure you don't make the same mistake.
The rule that most people who go on a high protein diet neglect is this: Only stay on this type of diet for a short time.
You see these types of low carb diets can cause ketosis.
This can cause you to get bad headaches, bad breath, irritability, as well as a variety of other health problems.
The nice thing about a low carbohydrate, high protein diet is that protein has an equal amount of calories and carbohydrates but because it takes longer to digest it will keep you feeling fuller longer.
Now, as long as you don't over do it, you can lose a lot of weight with these low carb diets.
However, the majority of it will be weight-loss and not necessarily fat loss.
This is because these diets cause you to lose a lot of excess water instead of just excess fat.
There is nothing wrong with this.
Bodybuilders and MMA fighters use these diets to look more ripped or to make weight before a fight.
That is not to say that you won't lose some fat.
