1. Working out on an empty stomach.
Before you exercise or do any physical activity it is recommended to take in a light snack like an apple. Do not let your stomach rumble. It is not good for your health and if you keep it like that you will pretty soon start to feel fatigued.

2. Energy bars and drinks.
They are good once in a while but do not rely on them. Fruits and vegetables are the way to go. They are loaded in vitamins, minerals, fluid and fiber.

3. Breakfast
People believe that by skipping meals they will lose weight fast. Starving your body is not a good idea. Not eating breakfast is a very bad idea. Your body needs fuel to keep it moving and without eating breakfast you might just find an urge to eat a big meal later on and thus you will over-eat. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it kick-starts your metabolism and will help you burn fat all day long.

4. Losing calories.
Losing weight involves losing calories but losing it too quickly is not safe. You should aim for about 1-2 pounds a week. Always make sure that you are getting enough calories to keep your body operating smoothly.

5. No alcohol, no soda.
Drink water, milk, natural fruit juices. Do not let thirst be your indicator. Drink often. If you get thirsty that means your body is already running a bit too low.
Changing how and what you eat is a great step towards a losing weight and a healthy, energetic life. The healthier you eat the better you will feel. Once you give it a chance you will see how much it can change your life for the better.
